This IPL Auction for the 2020 Season is set to place on December 19 in Kolkata.
A total of 971 have registered for the Upcoming Season of VIVO IPL which includes 713 Indian and 258 overseas players that will fight to make the final shortlist for just the 73 vacant spots across the eight teams.
The Players with the Highest Base Price of INR 2 Crore and INR 1.5 Crore have also been announced.
2 Crore Price Bracket:
Out of 7 players who have kept their Base Price Maximum, 5 are Australian Players. Chris Lynn, who was released by Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR), could get a Big amount in the Auction Following his Recent Blitz in T-10 League. “The BIG SHOW” – Glenn Maxwell will also be on the Eye of many Franchise given the Immense Potential he possess of Changing a game single Handedly. Pat Cummins as we all know deserved to be in that Price Bracket with the skillset he brings to the Table. Josh Hazlewood and Mitchell Marsh are the other Players notable entries as well.
Dale Steyn is the Highest Wicket taker in ongoing MSL Season and he has put his Base price right on the Top while Sri Lankan All-Rounder Angelo Mathews completes the List.
1.5 Crore Price Bracket:
Robin Uthappa is the Only Indian to keep Higher base price for the Upcoming IPL 2020 Auction. The Karnataka lad was released by Kolkata Knight Riders(KKR) after his Dismal Run in Last season of IPL. Jason Roy and Eoin Morgan are the 2 Big names in this Price Bracket. They both are know for playing their aggressive Brand of cricket and can add immense value to any team. Hence it’s expected that both of them will invite a Bidding War among franchises.
All Rounders like Chris Morris, David Willey and Chris Woakes can provide that right Balance to Sides who are rather one Dimensional.
Kane Richardson has been in great form this Year especially in the T20s. So he decided to put himself in INR 1.5 Crore Price Bracket. Kyle Abbott recently made the headlines by taking 17 Wickets in a County game. But Will he attract any buyers, only time will tell.
